Day 1: Cairo ,A modern air-conditioned bus will take you right from your hotel in Hurghada to Cairo. On your arrival to Cairo, the tour will start with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, accompanied by a qualified in Egyptology English-speaking guide. You will see the Egyptian treasures found in the tombs of the pharaons, the golden mask of Tutankhamun, sarcofagi and more. After that you will visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is very different from the small pyramids scattered in other places. Further on, we will take you on a panoramic location, where all the Pyramids are seen clearly from one spot. You will take your lunch at a local restaurant followed by the visit of a papyrus factory and a check-in at a 4-star hotel full board.
Day 2: Alexandria , from your hotel in Cairo we will transfer you by our private air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria, the second capital of Egypt (the way takes around 3 hours). You will start your tour with the visit to the Catacombs of Kom El-Shuqafa, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt. Then you will see the Roman Amphitheatre, built in the 2nd century AD. The amphitheatre has 13 semicircular tiers, made of white and grey marble, with marble seats for up to 800 spectators. Qaitbey Citadel, which is one of the most important Islamic monuments, will not leave you indifferent. After lunch we will visit the famous Alexandrian Library. In contrast to the ancient architecture found throughout Egypt, the Norwegian-designed building is a striking piece of modern design. A copy of every book published in the world is kept in the library, making it one of the great literary sites in the world. At the end of the tour we will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo.
Day 3: Old Cairo ,After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Salah el Din Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man, who came from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed, the ruler of Egypt in 1805-1849. Lunch at a restaurant will be followed by visiting the ancient coptic churches of Old Cairo. We will continue our tour with heading to Memphis, the oldest capital of Egypt after the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by King Menes in 3,100 BC. Explore the lovely gardens and historic ruins of the famous place before ending your tour at Saqqara, Egypt’s oldest cemetery and the grand necropolis of the former capital of Memphis. Visit the world’s first monumental stone building at the Step Pyramid of King Zoser and the magnificent Mastaba tombs. At the end of the day,
we will drive you back to your hotel in Hurghada.
